Bay Path Regional Technical High School
Charlton, MA
Turowski2 Architecture in association with Kaestle Boos Associates
Turowski2 Architecture served as design consultant to the lead architect, Kaestel Boos Associates for this regional vocational school located in Central Massachusetts. The building was constructed in the 1970s. Its concentric design presented complication for expansion and offered little opportunity for daylighting.
Over time, space had been reconfigured in a way that mixed academic and vocational areas across the campus. The goal of the project was to add a new academic classroom wings and provide distinct building zones for the two curriculum areas: Vocational and Core Academics, which students alternate between the areas on a weekly basis.
The design added academic classrooms, administrative offices, and a new library to the front of the building.
