New guest house/writer’s studio behind an existing
residence in a summer community in South Dartmouth.
This small structure, with two sleeping rooms and a
central sitting room on the main level and a
writer’s loft on the upper level, was conceived as a
simple gabled rectangle with exquisitely crafted
details. Careful and consistent detailing of
elements carried through the entire project, from
the exterior bracket porch details to the in-laid
wood of the interior cabinetry.
