Worthington Library Study
Worthington, Massachusetts

Completed 2002

Peter Turowski, AIA while with Margo Jones Architects

Study to expand a historic library in Worthington center. This project proposes the expansion of an existing historic library structure to more than three times it original size. The building, situated on a corner lot at the main cross roads in this Berkshire community, is the size of a small house on a very small site. The goal was to keep all the library functions on one level with a single addition, while maintaining the original structure’s prominence. An expanded on-site septic system, and expanded parking were also part of the study.
